About the role
As the Shopper Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the PAK’nSAVE North Island marketing team to push the boundaries on lowest prices, understand our customers and use this knowledge to activate and refine retail activity, drive consistent execution of our ‘no-frills’ marketing in-stores and keep the brand focused on our customers needs.
Some of the things you’ll be responsible for include:
  • Oversight of the key streams of work and budget the marketing team are accountable for while being a key influencer in the national planning process and marketing programme
  • Working closely with your peers on the PAK’nSAVE leadership teams to deliver our strategic plan, achieve our customer and financial metrics
  • Understanding and applying customer behaviour, insights, and market research to shape marketing activity and influence stakeholders and initiatives across the business
  • Working closely with the Marketing, Merchandise and Commercial teams to deliver on price and promotions as part of our retail trade plan and pricing strategies
  • Consulting, coaching, and supporting each of our PAK’nSAVE Owner Operators and their store team members to think customer first and activate both strategic and locali initiatives
  • Leading opportunities to provide customers with innovation, service, personalisation and joy instore, and through our owned channels
About you
As a seasoned retail marketer, you’ll have proven ability to take ideas and concepts from paper to reality in a complex retail environment. You’ll also be able to analyse data across multiple sources and translate this into actionable insights for stakeholders across all levels in the business.
You’ll also have:
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Great ability to collaborate with others, clearly articulate ideas/concepts and effectively present to others
  • Strong prioritisation skills and a keen eye for detail as you’ll be juggling many initiatives and need to identify the gaps to ensure we do our best for customers and store teams
  • A curious eye on world class programmes, digital retail, eCommerce and marketing
